their name from the Patagonia Mine. The community is in south central Arizona,
about sixty-five miles south of Tucson. Patagonia is an incorporated town in Santa Cruz County, Arizona. The community is nestled in the riparian corridor of the Sonoita Creek Valley
at an elevation of 4,050 feet above sea level. The community of Patagonia lies in the valley between the
Patagonia Mountains to the south and the Santa Rita Mountains to the north. 47%
of residents who live in the community of Patagonia own their homes while 53%
of the locals rent. The median home age in the Patagonia community is 39 years.
