Santa Cruz County is an Arizona international community with small- business owners and heritage mingling the two cultures of Mexico and the United States. The Ambos Nogales binational region is Mexico’s entry point to Arizona. It is the gateway for international interstate, air and rail service along 700-miles of the U.S.- Mexico border between Texas and California. With this strategic location, industry enjoys the advantages of accessing two labor forces, two tax systems, and two governments.

Years of tradition in business and community relationships have built a foundation of trust and confidence. Sales, administration, and retail are the largest employment categories, followed by professional, scientific, education and health care. Wholesale work, warehousing and transportation are big employers in Rio Rico and Nogales, because of the immense trade in fresh produce from Mexico.
